Mr Moin Kikhia, Chairman of the Libyan Democratic Institute, visited the UK for a series of high-level meetings to discuss the future of Libya’s political, financial and commercial relationships with the UK.
During these discussions, Mr Kikhia stressed the importance of Libya’s historic ties to the United Kingdom, and called for the UK’s support in promoting peace, stability and cohesion in his country.
“I was very happy with the response I received”, said Mr Kikhia. “There was genuine respect and affection for Libya, reflecting our long-standing ties, and a real interest in finding ways for the UK to assist Libya to move forward, politically, socially and commercially.”
